It may help to keep yourself occupied with healthy, happy things that you enjoy. It takes the focus off of the things that hurt you and puts that energy into things that help you feel good and uplift you. As always, time and distance from the events help too. It doesn’t mean you should avoid your pain. Feel it as it comes up and it has a way of flowing through you and then out of you. Each time you allow it to come up, you release it.
